Erina Law is the owner and chief baker of Cooking Island, a baking and cooking supplies shop located in Tanjung Tokong, Penang. Before this, she had been climbing the corporate ladder for eight years but decided to give up her career once she started her family.

Baking and cooking have been her hobbies since young. Her mum taught her to cook her first pot of rice at the age of five. Whenever her mum baked cakes and biscuits, she never failed to join in the fun. She learnt cooking and baking from both her grandmothers and her mum though she keeps on improving her skills by signing up for culinary classes.

Erina enjoys experimenting with baking supplies and ingredients, often inventing recipes in her kitchen. She enjoys talking to customers too and getting their ideas and opinions. This informal market research allows her to continuously offer new and innovative mixes and ingredients to her local and expatriate customers.

She feels that quality mixes for breads, cakes and biscuits help busy women and working mothers to create fast, simple and tasty food for their families. Many of her mixes are sourced locally and internationally and at times, she even creates her own!
